Rebecca's ReCreations
Embellishing God's Creation into Wearable Art
Mount Saint Helen's Ash has been used to produce
some beautiful glass items.  When they make vases,
Christmas ornaments and such, there is some left
over, so they "dollop" it on a cooking sheet much
like making cookies.  What ever comes out, comes
out.  No one really knows what the colors will be
until the process is done.
The whimsical combination of glass made from
Mt. Saint Helen's ash gave the inspiration for
this broach.  I thought it sort of looked like a
bird in flight, so I named it "The Bird".  I used
blue, gold and white seed beads to compliment
the pattern and bring out the colors.
